I have not been able to find anyone that I have met who remembers Reddy Kilowatt. He made quite an impression in my education. Seems like he should still be useful to school children. Glad to find out where he came from. I lived in Michigan and Ohio while growing up and did not know where he came in.
Thanks

Hello, I have an old keep sake of reddy and was wanting to sale however I wanted to know where I could get a good value of it so I can know what to ask for it. Is there any dealers tha will give an estimate? I do not know what it is called. I got it when I was born and call it a night light however it is not like our night lights today. It is an actual bulb with reddy in it plugging something in to an electric socket and when you turn it on he lights up red. It is over 30 years old and still works. Just curious. Thanks

That's pretty neat! A grade school in southern Missouri once used electric co-op mascot Willie Wiredhand as its team mascot, and the high school had the name "Zizzers," using an electric bolt. Here's a link to a 1999 story about "electrifying" team mascots from Indiana (which also notes the Missouri schools). http://electricconsumer.org/WilliesWorld/tabid/162/ctl/Details/mid/1836/ItemID/421/Default.aspx
